Primary and young permanent pulp therapy 
- How is the diagnosis of the pediatric pulp different?
- Discuss indications for indirect / direct pulp capping, pulpotomy, pulpectomy, and extraction. The pulpectomy procedure will be introduced and discussed in depth.

Pediatric Behavior Guidance and Communication Issues:
- Tips and tricks of basic pediatric behavior guidance
- Is parental presence / absence beneficial?
- Outline motivational interviewing techniques which could be helpful in communicating with patients and parents

Restoring Primary Anterior Teeth

About Dr. Mark Berscheid

B.Sc (Engineering), DMD, MDent, FRCD(C)

Pediatrics - Assistant Professor College of Dentistry, University of Saskatchewan, Canada
Dr. Mark Berscheid obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007. After working in the oil and gas industry for one year he decided to pursue dentistry. In 2011 he obtained his DMD from the University of Saskatchewan. He worked as a general practitioner in Saskatoon for 2 years before enrolling in a 3 year hospital residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Manitoba. In 2016 he received a Masters of Dentistry from the U of M for completing his masters thesis which involved using micro-computed tomography for analyzing accessory canals in the furcation region of primary molars. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

About Dr. Anjani Koneru

DMD MSc FRCD(C)

Dr. Koneru graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry in 2001. She completed a GPR at Royal University  Hospital in Saskatoon in 2003. After working for a nonprofit organization in North Carolina caring for only children, Dr. Koneru's love for dentistry grew and she pursued her Master of Science degree specializing in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Toronto and Sick Kids Hospital in 2008. Dr. Koneru is the  pediatric dentist on the Central and Northern Saskatchewan Cleft Lip and Palate Program. She is also on the Scientific Committee of the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Koneru works in private practice in Saskatoon dedicated to providing care for children and adults with special needs. She is a strong supporter of the Saskatoon Food Bank, enjoys coaching soccer and spending time with her husband and children.
